Game Overview and Storyline

Fallout 4 places you in the role of the Sole Survivor, emerging from Vault 111 into the Commonwealth – a ravaged Boston wasteland. You awaken 210 years after the Great War, a global nuclear conflict that devastated the planet. Your spouse is murdered, and your son, Shaun, is kidnapped. Driven by grief and a relentless determination to find your son, you embark on a perilous journey through a lawless and dangerous world filled with mutated creatures, raiders, and powerful factions vying for control. The main storyline focuses on your search for Shaun, leading you to uncover a vast conspiracy involving the mysterious Institute, a technologically advanced organization operating in the shadows. Along the way, you'll encounter various factions, each with their own ideologies and agendas, forcing you to make difficult choices that will shape the fate of the Commonwealth. Will you side with the Brotherhood of Steel, the Minutemen, the Railroad, or the Institute? The choice is yours.

• Freedom and Liberty: Do whatever you want in a massive open world with hundreds of locations, characters, and quests. Join multiple factions vying for power or go it alone – the choices are all yours.

Multiplayer Features

Fallout 4 is primarily a single-player experience. There are no direct multiplayer features. However, the game's expansive world and modding capabilities (on PC) allow for shared experiences through community creations and discussions.

• Vault-Tec Workshop: Build a brighter future underground with the all-new Vault-Tec Workshop. Build massive vaults and attract new dwellers using pre-War industrial kits complete with retro-nostalgic furniture, lighting, and art. Like a good Overseer, run Vault-Tec approved experiments on your dwellers to learn what makes the ideal citizen. Vault-Tec has given you the tools, the rest is up to you!
• Nuka-World: Take a trip to Nuka-World, a vast amusement park now a lawless city of Raiders. Explore an all-new region with open wasteland and park zones like Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and Galactic Zone. Lead deadly gangs of Raiders and use them to conquer settlements, bending the Commonwealth to your will.
